Former Administrative Centre of the Lenin Steelworks

We’re returning to Nowa Huta soon with AFTER THE PALACE: Resonance, an audiovisual performance combining video mapping and live music. The event will take place at the former Administrative Centre of the Lenin Steelworks as part of the 34th Audio Art Festival in Kraków, an international festival dedicated to sound art and interdisciplinary practices.

The project explores the unique architecture and history of the former administrative complex. Archival materials gathered on site, including photographs, audio and video recordings, and scans, have served as the basis for audiovisual experiments in which the building is treated as a living organism, constantly evolving over time.

The soundscape of the site also inspired a collaboration with musicians from Krakow Improvisers Orchestra (KIO). Recorded sounds, processed audio and samples will provide the material for live instrumental interpretation.

The event will also feature selected works submitted to the international AFTER THE PALACE: Resonance – Video Mapping Contest. The presentation will be followed by the announcement of the contest results and an award ceremony.
